So here are a few meditation tips:
Begin by gently stretching your body in different directions.
Then sit up straight on the floor or in a chair and make sure to allow for the natural curve in your back. This can take some time to get used to, so be patient.
Close your eyes and allow your mind to chatter about your day; this is a good way to power down your mind. As the internal language fades, become aware of your body. Mentally explore every inch of your body like a researcher; this will actually help you relax.
As your meditation becomes more advanced, you can become aware of your breath and practice smoothing it out. This may move naturally into the concentration of your mind and allowing the flow of thoughts.
When you feel yourself tensing or starting to become stressed, always come back to your breath.
