Introduction To Astrology

Chances are you’ve been asked at least once, “What’s your sign?”  Chances are also high that you know your sign.  But do you really know the roots of astrology?  Many people believe that the alignment of the stars and planets at a person’s birth reflect certain information about that individual’s personality. But what specifically does an astrologist do?
 
When seeking insight into a client’s temperament and character, astrologists might consult specific charts that show the position of celestial beings at the time of a person’s birth. A person’s astrological sign might be determined by the singular position of the sun when that person was born.  The apparent “path” of the sun in the sky (as we all know, the earth rotates around the sun, but the sun appears to move) is divided into 12 sections and this is where the zodiac signs come from. So if the sun is “in Leo” when you are born, then you are determined by some astrologists to be a Leo.
