Turning In To What Your Spirit Needs

November 4th, 2009 by Susan Page

Do you ever find yourself feeling stuck? You might feel stuck in your job, relationship, career or even location. Or maybe those parts of your life are fulfilling, but something still seems to be missing and you can’t quite put your finger on it. Sometimes your spirit, your life or your routine just needs a jump-start. But how do you figure out what you need?

That can be the tricky part. It requires some introspection and exploration. Go to your favorite spot, be it a comfy living room chair or park bench. Bring a paper and pen with you. Then just begin writing whatever comes into your head. Don’t censor yourself; no one else will read this but you. Write anything - don’t judge, don’t correct, don’t worry about being perfect. You may be surprised at what comes out of your pen!

The longer you go, the more opportunity you have to get beyond your everyday thoughts to the deeper issues. Maybe you sit at a desk every day and realize you want to play racquetball. Maybe you’re a stay-at-home mom who misses spending time with her friends. Maybe you’ve just been working overtime and need a weekend getaway. You may discover deeper issues too - instead of being in sales you’d rather help the homeless. Regardless of what you discover, taking the time to tune into your inner voice can really help change your life.

If you try this exercise and find you struggle with it, give our Master Psychics a call. We’d be happy to help you figure out what your inner spirit is trying to tell you.

Natural Healing Centers - Emei Shan, China

October 7th, 2009 by Susan Page

Designated as a World Heritage Site, Emei Shan is the highest of four Buddhist sacred mountains of China. The name translates to “Delicate Eyebrow Mountain” and reflects the shape of the two majestic peaks that face each other.

Buddhists are known for their quiet reflection and reverence of nature and Emei Shan certainly evokes these feelings in Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike. From natural wonders like breathtaking mountain slopes and vibrant wildlife to the man-made beauty of over 30 Buddhist temples, Emei Shan will surely touch the spiritual place deep inside any visitor. Many travelers pick this sacred location to experience The Four Wonders of Mt. Emei - the Buddha’s Halo, the Sea Of Clouds, the Holy Lamp and the Golden Summit Sunrise - all natural occurrences on the mountaintop. The temple structures were created and built to adapt to the natural beauty of the holy mountain rather than just sit upon it.

Personal journeys can be of the body, the mind, the spirit and even all three. A full day’s hike to the summit is a physical journey that parallels the emotional and spiritual journey a traveler feels as they make the commitment to visit this sacred place.

No matter where you are your own personal journey is deep inside of yourself. If you have any questions or would like some insights or understanding, please give us a call and we’ll help you get started from your own home.

Happiness

August 29th, 2009 by Susan

We all want to be happy.  We live on this beautiful planet, most of us have family, friends and have created our lives with times of being happy, glimpses of being happy and working towards being happy.  At least that is what I have noticed in my own life, that is what happens to me.  I have heard a lot of people talking about the road to happiness happens when you can control your thoughts. I have tried often to control my thoughts by noticing what I am thinking, then I make an effort to think about something else, usually something I want, instead of something I don’t want. However, I have noticed this can be hard to do, as the old thoughts seem to come back quickly. If you have had success controlling your thoughts, I would love to hear your experiences.

I have been wondering if controlling my thoughts is actually coming to my goal of always being happy, backwards. What I have been noticing is by changing and healing the feelings and emotions I am experiencing; my thoughts can change themselves.

When my body sensations are happy, the thoughts will come and go, but my attitude of being happy will be solid and stable. If my emotions are happy, the thoughts connot provoke negativity, they have no power and those thoughts will soon expand into higher thinking. Ultimately, my thinking has been changing into what I call light wave thinking. To me that means my thoughts are light and happy.

Since our bodies vibrate, I picture golden light waves radiating to and from my body. These light waves are made of the energy of love, peace and happiness for all beings. As these light waves go out into the universe, I am able to see and feel the adventures of infinite possibilites.

So, how do I do this? How do I keep this energy and state of mind in every moment. Well, right now, unfortunately, I don’t. However, I do have a strong intention to live within this state and I do know it is possible for all of us. Rather than trying to notice and change my thoughts, changing my feelings has been a lot easier for me.

Iis always available to everyone. As we are Spiritual Beings and part of God, All That Is, Your Higher Power, (whatever you feel comfortable calling this power) this energy is always calling to us. The issue is, we get so caught up in the drama of our lives and what we “think” we need before we can truly be happy, we don’t hear this energy calling. We cannot feel this energy either, because we are feeling lack, sad, angry or fearful, etc.  Therefore, there is no space available for this light wave energy to penetrate through our current drama. It’s kind of like the glass ceiling people talk about, only in this case, we personally can break thru into the light.

I think the most important and probably the hardest part of all this is simply awareness of what we are doing, feeling and thinking. If we are going along in a tunnel of familiar thoughts and feelings we are imersed in our personal drama. So, how do we create aware, so we have the ability to take the next step? Some people do this with reminders. They might have affirmations on their bathroom mirror, a note card in their wallet or purse, or a collage of pictures hanging in their bedroom. At least they are keeping happiness right in front of themselves. For me, I need something else to keep me “awake” to who I am. What works best is to keep noticing how I am feeling and set my feeling level where I want it to be. This can be like a thermometer. If it is too cold you can turn it up, too hot, turn it down.  Another analogy is an elevator. There are many different levels or floors, if you press the wrong button and get off on a floor that isn’t right, go back into the elevator and press the right button. The elevator will start to move and take you to the correct floor.

Here is some examples.  Talking with someone who is arguing with me or being on hold on the phone for 15 minutes and being disconnected. Looking back, I’m sure everyone can find situations that are less than happy. I become aware of my feelings because they simply don’t feel good to me. The next thing that I notice is my mind telling me all the reasons it iis their fault, not my fault.  I was just driving along and ”he” cut in front of me! Maybe I should even call my friends and let them know what just happened to me!  Ok, well that will surely prolong my fear, anger and frustration, but it also throws my higher goal right out the window. So, I say to myself. wow! That was scary or that guy must be having a problem. Hm? What about having compassion for him? What about realizing how blessed I am to be safe. How about choosing love and light over adrenalin. But, my mind says, ”what a good story to tell everyone”. I say back, “what about my intention and my goal?” Anyway, sometimes I win and sometimes my mind wins, but that is ok, because I can still get back on track in each and every moment.

would love to hear your suggestions, comments and ideas. Together we can have the love, peace, compassion and understanding that is our birthright.

Natural Healing Centers - Machu Picchu

August 11th, 2009 by Susan

Hidden deep in the green Urubamba Valley’s jungle, high up on a mountaintop, Machu Picchu is the most well preserved city of the great Inca Empire.  Though the Spanish invaded Peru in the 1500’s, Machu Picchu was overlooked, thanks to it’s complicated location.  Often referred to as the Lost City Of The Incas, Machu Picchu was a religious sanctuary of the high class Incas.  With spectacular views of the Andes, Urubamba Jungle and Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu is a mysterious, beautiful and incredibly spiritual place.

Like most healing centers, the journey to Machu Picchu is as important as the time spent at your destination.  Hiking with a guide through the mountains of Peru will help you turn inward as you absorb the gifts of nature that surround you.  Listen to yourself and your environment; it’s often on spiritual journeys like this one that easy answers come to what were previously difficult questions.  Once you arrive in Machu Picchu, take the opportunity to truly appreciate the history of the city as well as your own personal history.  They can be equally important to your spiritual growth and healing.

If your wallet can’t support a trip to Peru, one of our Master Psychics is sure to have ideas about how to achieve inner wisdom at home.  We’re here to help and we always love hearing from you.

Love and Blessings,

Susan Page
